Nathan Hall + David Bernabo duo CD now available, second pressing

If you will allow me a bit of self-promo, the piano/guitar duo album that composer Nathan Hall and I recorded and released this past spring has made it into its second pressing and is now available. The disc consists of six pieces; five compositions by Nathan Hall which were extended and folded and overlapped, and one short piece of free improvisation using piano insides and electric guitar. The album holds ECM’s brand of classical-jazz as a reference point and uses layers of acoustic and electric piano and electric guitar with hints of orchestral percussion as the sound. Surely, some peaceful, nocturnal music. If this sounds appealing to you, the cd is available through Pittsburgh’s Sort Of Records and the Abstract On Black imprint (which brought you such gems as Alia Musica Pittsburgh’s debut release: Sort Of Records Store

Nathan and I will be performing again this fall – more to come.
