Updated: Music on the Edge and the Andy Warhol Museum cap off the first season of their highly successful collaboration with the groundbreaking chamber orchestra Alarm Will Sound performing the group’s new music-theater event 1969. Through music, drama, and video 1969 seeks to encapsulate the  extensive cross-pollenization between popular music and the avant-garde that characterized the 60s and 1969 in particular. The event incorporates music from both The Beatles (A Day in the LifeRevolution No. 9, etc.) and Karlheinz Stockhausen (HymnenStimmung, and more), as well as works by Luciano Berio, excerpts from Leonard Berstein’s Mass and much more.
